Auscript was established in 1921 as the Commonwealth Reporting Service
to provide complete reporting and transcription services to Federal
courts, tribunals, royal commissions and inquiries.
For over 80 years, Auscript has provided high quality evidence delivery
services to the judiciary and many other clients on a national and
international basis. Throughout this time, record capture
techniques have developed from shorthand and pen writing, to analogue
and then digital recording and transcription.
Formed in July 2004 to purchase the business of Auscript Pty Ltd,
Auscript Australasia raised significant capital to purchase and
recapitalise the business in August 2004.
The company is wholly owned and backed by Peter Wyatt (Executive
Chairman), Tony Douglass (CEO of Auscript Australasia and its
subsidiaries) and Mark Tanner (COO) -
like-minded, professional, Australian businessmen with successful
track records in company management, restructuring and courtroom
technology systems.
Performance to date has led to further capital raising to fund
significant new contracts won in Australia and New Zealand, including
contracts with the Federal Court of Australia and the Administrative
Appeals Tribunal. This capital will also fund substantial growth
opportunities and will allow us to provide greater service levels to
existing and new clients.
